Well things are starting to shape up on big green lake. The winnebagoland muskie has been stocking it for some years now and its paying off> I know of two fish caught there opening weekend. A 44 and 39 incher. The d.n.r. also had a 51 in the fyke nets. Our club I am sure would live donations or help from other clubs to continue stocking and even putting in more then we can afford alone. if your club or you as individual would like to help contact me. This water is going to produce some real fat pigs.

My family and I have been going up to Big Green for vacation for about 7 years now. The smallmouth fishing on Big Green is excellent. I have always wondered how the stocking has paid off on Big Green. Well, it looks like this lake is headed in the right direction, and there is even an 40" size limit. This lake could definitely be a sleeper for a 40-50 pound fish. Shhhhhhhhh. Don, do you know if anyone specifically targets muskies on Big Green? If so, where? (because it is such a big lake)

Can you troll Big Green? I know its a big deep lake (has Lakers in it right?).....might be open to spending a day trolling it!

Slamr, Big Green Lake still has Lakers in it, and some of them are of decent size. If you want to troll near the schools of white bass or lake trout and cisco follow the big pontoon/houseboats (Norton and the other guides always know where the schools are). There are a few big midlake bars and some really nice steep dropoffs that would be worth trolling. Not much in the way of shallow weed structure. I would imagine most of the muskies in the lake are suspended over deep water. Good Luck!!!
