Location: North/Central WI | I recently traded my outboard for a used 2004 Merc 60hp 4-stroke tiller. The outboard starts and runs excellent, but I did notice something that I would like an explanation for. When I turn my key, there's a tone and I can hear the EFI going, When I turn my key the rest of the way to start the engine, there is occasionally another tone. I couldn't find a reason for this occasional second tone in the owner's manual. Any ideas? |

Location: davis,IL | The "normal" warning horns (tones) are for overheat and oil pressure (4 stroke). I'm not sure but perhaps with fuel injection there may also be a warning for fuel pressure? I have a carbuerated Yammie 75 4stroke and have warnings for overheat and oil pressure. |

Location: North/Central WI | I've looked at the owners manual and all the warning tones listed for engine or battery problems are continuous or repeated. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. |

Location: Algonquin, ILL | I have a Merc 90HP 4-Stroke, I only get a warning tone if the motor has not been started for a while 1 week or more, but as soon as it starts the tone goes away.
