Location: east central mn | Hey guys, I'm going to be buying a Lowrance in the next week and read on their website that the internal antenna is for vertical mount on the console, Just wondering if anyone has this unit on the bow and if you can tilt it without losing gps. Since I only have a 14 footer I'm forced to pick a spot and I think up front is my option to go with. Thanks for the info or advice,

Location: Land of the Musky | I have the 522 iGPS and no problems with mine. I tilt mine a lot when it is in my portable bag for hike in fishign in Canada. I put it on the boat floor and tilt up the screen while I drive. The older ones had problems. They fixed the internal gear on them. |

Location: Grafton, WI | I know of people ordering from there, and haven't heard of any issues. Here's a website you can use to check customer reviews on online merchants:

| I purchased one from them last month. Free shipping and I upgraded the shipping to 2nd day air. The upgrade fee was cheap. Great service. Lowrance has a free map card offer. You pick the lake map you want $99 value.
