Just got back from Bass Pro and noticed they gave me the 4.2:1 instead of the 5. I have never used a 4.2:1 and was wondering what some of you might use this reel for... Big Bucktails? Instead of driving all the way back and exchanging it, maybe I could actually use it.

Thanks!

MY brother has one (4.2:1 Maina) and I have used it a time or two. Its really a pretty nice reel... if you put the power handle on it you will have an excellent "winch" type reel for those big baits...blades/dawgs/etc. Only thing we ever had issues with was do proper maintenance on them...oil and grease regularly or else you might have some problems with casting as well as internal wear. Between us we have 5 Maina reels. They all still work great, although I dont use mine much since I have several Luna's now.

i own 3 of them, they are great for double 10s and bigger. i have used one of them for the past 2 seasons throwing nothing but double 10s and it has held up fine.
