According to me, the jailbird ( or bumblebee or whatever yellow/black stripped color) is one of the ugliest color available on the market.....Does this color work for you guys? I'm gonna have to try it for sure cause i cant believe that lures company would still paint lures in a pattern that muskies dont like.... but still what a nothing to do with the real baitfish color.....!!!!

So what are your best catch on jailbird color? and when do you guys prefer to use it?

Thanks!

This 47"er found the Jailbird pattern rather tasty last year for me. I don't have a ton of confidence in that color myself. But plenty of people do very well on them.

just because it has nothing to do with a bait fish color doesnt mean it doesnt catch fish ive never seen a fish that is orange but lots of fish get caught on brite colored baits every year. i like to keep a open mind when it comes to baits and i like jail bird

To a musky or pike it looks like a perch in the right colored water. Otherwise it is a great contrast bait. I think it is Suick who has a full line of jailbirds out in various colors...

Last I checked yellow perch in many bodies of water are yellow with black bars. Does that count as natural?

The red-headed bumble bee (basically the same as jailbird) 10" Slammer Deep Minnow is one of my all-time most productive cranks. "The Bee" has been a favorite in my trolling spreads for years.

Nope. Jailbird never works. Don't use it. In fact, you'll be much better off sending all your jailbird lures to me; I'll make sure they're disposed of properly.

Seriously, my partner got a 51" on a jointed jailbird believer, and I've got many low-to-mid 40" muskies on a jailbird Suick. I've had many days where that suick is the only lure I needed...

I used to think the same thing... till I saw it in action. The ugliness quickly turns to beauty. Musky LOVE IT!
