Are lakewoods waterproof???
just won my first one and was wondering if my paper maps would get wet in the zipper compartments/????

The tacklebox itself and the clear plastic part seem to be waterproof. The side pockets seem to be water resistant, but if you get quite a bit of rain they will take on some water.

If you need something to stay completely dry like paper maps I would keep them in the clear plastic sleeve on top of the box rather than the side pockets. Don't take my word for it that the top sleeve is completely waterproof either. I've kept my HotSpots maps in there, and they seem to keep dry enough, but that pocket might take on some moisture too.

In three years I've never had anything get wet anywhere in the box. I love mine.
