Has anyone tried rigging weedless tiger tubes? We have located a great sloppy spot for muskies in the Kawarthas, (Ontario) and a weedless lure would really help. Tried the sluggo and fin-s thing but they are very poor hooking baits. I think the hollow tubes with a sluggo-sized hook rigged weedless should do the trick. My ideas always seem so good in the winter - I don't always get the same good vibe on the water though!

Sounds good, but instead of going to all that trouble just pick up a good weedless jig like an Esox Cobra Jig, Drifter's Jig-A-Beast, or Musky Mahem's "Stick-um" (I think that's the one, someone correct me if I'm wrong). Take your favorite grub, creature, shad body and cast away. Kawartha Kid on here seems to do well in your region doing just this (check out his photo album). Hopefully, he chimes in.

I also this year am planning to use some big tubes for muskies. I've used weedless jigs, but think that a Texas rigged tube would work great. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Tubes are good, but check out the High-Calorie Jig from Meat and Potatoes Tackle. Long marabou. Twin trailers so you don't need any trailers at all. Weedless. Several sizes for shallow or deep. I like 'em and are priced right! By the way, I've spent a lot of time on the Kawartha Chain. Nice water. Good for things like tubes and jigs and other weedless lures.

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | Check out Red October's Monster Tubes or Ninja Tubes. They come with large single hooks rather than a treble and would come through the weeds better as a result. If you want a rear treble, they're very easy to modify to make that change. Red October makes the best tubes for muskies in my opinion, without question.
