I am thinking about getting a Hummingbird 797 with the side imaging and gps. I was wondering if the internal or external gps is best. I have heard of some problems with the Lowrance units with internal gps but haven't heard anyting about Hummingbird. Have any of you tried these units.

Internal is OK if you have the unit sitting on the console. If its in-dash or up front where its tilted back you may not get signal.
