Posts: 32951 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Class limited to 16 due to space. April 18, 2008 Roger's MN. http://www.hightechfishing.com/ for details. An then Doc goes fishing! This is an opportunity to learn more in one class than you might in years of using your sonar and GPS. Doc's classes are the best opportunity you will encounter to learn from the best out there! If you are in driving distance of this class, I'd highly recommend signing up. Attachments ---------------- samson_160x300.gif (48KB - 123 downloads)

| Is there a fee for this event? I can't find registration info for this event on his website, but he does have many other events listed. | |||

Posts: 6 | The Lowrance School is 7 hours and the first 2 DVDs don’t cover in depth interpreting the display like the class but focus more on using all the features and understanding the menus and settings. The class is much more comprehensive. The seminar at Owatonna is free admission and will be more basic because of the time allowed.

Posts: 956 Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | How much of the "Understanding Sonar and Interpreting the Display" is different than the Lowrance I & II videos? Is there any redundancy here? Not looking to pay twice for the same material that's all. Karl

Posts: 6 | Karl, The sonar DVD is much different than the Part 1&2. It covers the basics of sonar, the bottom, fish arches. The fish arch section explains why fish show up on the display as arches sometimes and shows how the arches change depending on the speed of the boat. I show examples from 0 MPH to 23 MPH. I am presently laboring over an advanced sonar DVD. Someday I will finish it.

Posts: 1460 Location: Kronenwetter, WI | DOC-- I've been waiting for someone to do this topic, but MN is too far of a drive. Any chance you'll get scheduled in central/northern WI? Thanks,

Posts: 6 | This is my last one for the year. I had one in Oconomowoc in March and I usually have one in WI each year. I won't make any plans until next fall.
