Location: Iowa Great Lakes | Local river is open, we have no season on anything in the rivers so off we go to wet a few baits and maybe get lucky and get something to pull on the end of our lines. Hope to start the 08 season off good, but wetting a line will do. |

| 5 days, here, and I'll be on soft water. Most of our lakes are about 30% ice off. The lake I fish a lot has another 3-5 days to be fishable. |

Location: Grinnell, Iowa | By no means do I want to change the subject, but I was curious to what kind of reel you are having troubles with. Either PM me or post something in the TACKLE and EQUIPMENT forum. I hope to be fishing Pleasant Creek within two weeks. It was still pretty solid last weekend. Does anyone know if Hazle Creek in Northern Missouri is open? |

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | We fished it all, bumped a few somethings was about it, guessing carp. The reel in question is a Gander GS66, my 2nd one and there wont be a 3rd. I was hoping it to last as I want the high speed but without paying for a Curado, guess I'll be getting one after all. |
