Is anyone using these for thier non levelwind reels. If so which one and why. From what I have learned so far it sounds like the larger the diameter and the rounder the line the better. Or should I stick with the braid and get 100#. Any thoughts on this would be great, I need to get some line and don't want to make a mistake.

Thanks

I used a heavy action Falcon with a Shimano steelhead reel as a dedicated jig/creature outfit a few years ago. Used 20# mono, Trilene XL. Worked fine but it never felt right so I had a dude make me a custom jig/creature rod (like a heavy flippin stick) and I put a oh-so-cute Abu 4500 loaded with 30# PowerPro. I love that light rod. I still have the spinning outfit, it's used for guests who don't want to tangle with a baitcaster yet.
