I just recieved a notice form Honda in the mail. This is a new thing for me since I have only had the boat for 2 seasons. Question I have is there a time frame in which I need to have this repair taken care of. The only local full service Honda dealer in town is on a sabatical until February. Thanks.

Seems the recall is for a faulty fuel chamber on the BF15 and BF20's. Anyone know where this might be on the engine? Methinks it would be btween the filter and the cylinders. Thanks.

I would wait until your area mechanic is available and get it there for the recall. Call Honda if you are worried about a time limit.

Back to the original question. My motor is in the bush with no road access and getting to a Honda dealer would be a real pain. Anyone know what this repair involves and can I do it myself?

Max, if you type "Honda Marine Recall" into Google you might just find what you seek. m

Mine was done the next day. It is a small part on the same side as your hose hookup, about halfway back. The owner said on the phone it would be a 20 minute job.
