The STR has two counter rotating tail sections and the TR has one (a Hulbert answer for ya). This allows for more sound and slower retrieves with the STR. They both work, but you never know when one will outperform the other on any given day. If you get a STR or TR change out the hooks to 7/0, you'll love the extra gap that comes with the 7/0 hooks. |

| 7/0 hooks come on 14" Plows. You put them on a SuperTopraider?! Holy cow! They're a super trolling lure too. I throw the Super and my buddy throws the regular and he is way ahead on the scorecard. I can't beat him until I switch lures. It's funny, in my boat the reg. model has been better, no idea why. His regular (blk-org dot) does have a really unique pitch to it though, real loud and he fishes it slow. |

For sure replace the hook on the tail and you can take the belly hook off for pitching in the weeds that are just a bit on the surface. It does seem that the more you use it the better that bait become. I too like the TR over STR, but use them both and when a bigger chop is on the surface I tend to use the STR more.
