Are any of you guys using the unit with the GPS system? Chip-makers are coming out with more of the water I fish. I'm interested in anyone's feedback, probably going to get off my wallet this spring. Any and all relies appreciated.

Dacron,
Before you shell out any dough, you may want to check if your 15 will run the chip. I have a 15mt in the front of my boat, and it will not run the navionics 2007 chips. My 18c will. I think the newer chips require the lcx17 and later models.
The lakemaster chips I dont know? Good Luck.

Well that's certainly good to know, thanks for the info. The x15 can run some brands of chips but not others?

Hi,

I have the x15, and it will run lakemaster, but not navionics. Go to the lakemaster website and it will break down which units can run their chips. I am sure navionics does the same.
