made a video of one of my swimbaits. rainbow trout, 8 1/2", slow sinking. before you ask, took the hooks off because it was a residential lake that was closed to fishing and didn't want to chance getting busted. swims the same with the hooks however.

Thanks Nate for the link..Cool website and he sells them so cheap! He's not going to have any problems selling the heck out of those things. I now as soon as I decide which ones I want I'll be getting some. Man that rainbow is unbelievable!
I can see where more than 2 joints makes all the difference in the world.

WOW! I must admit most of my videos show my baits moving ok yada yada and some guys buy because of it. Those videos make me want to buy one right now!!! Very cool lure and great action. Can't believe how fluid that lure looks.
Great lures!

That is mind blowing. By far the best swimming action I have seen to date. Seeing his swimbaits makes me wonder about going any farther with mine. The bar might be to high for me to reach! One thing I do know is that the trout swimmer is not made out of wood. I have seen his posts on another site and forget what he makes them out of. Wood or plastic, these are spectacular.

Unreal!  Also have to complement you on the rest of your lures on your website.  The finish is awesome and very realistic.  The work on the fins is super.  Looks as good as a taxidermist woud do except it is a fishing lure!

Yeah I agree. I think anyone would be hard pressed to match these baits for realisim in action or looks, they are totaly amazing. Still can't believe the action they have.

I'm probably one of Johns biggest fans. The man has incredible talent to say the least! I wish he'd charge a price that truly reflects the amount of work he puts into each one. Unfortunately he's going to price himself into having a waiting list that will be backed up a year in no time. To each his own though and I wish him much success. John, thanks again for the tips on the microfiber tails and fins. You ROCK!!!

By far the best jointed swim baits I have ever seen? The fiber work for the fins is amazing and extremely life-like. I will be ordering a few.
Nice work!

No worries, I think Johns baits are incredible too. Ours are different from each other and each of us has a well established customer base. I have some pretty cool new stuff coming though so watch out!

i agree with snax. it's not a question of one being better than another but in it's ability to catch fish. Mike makes some great looking stuff and we both learned from others in the process of getting where we are with our product. i've seen his lures in action and they are as good if not better than anything being offered by some of the big lure makers. i'm looking forward to seeing more of his work and hopefully others will be inspired to try their hand at luremaking.

Very kind of you John. You have certainly raised the bar for us all and I am really enjoying the learning curve in keeping up! It's pretty much an open market right now and there's just no way that any of us basement bait makers will run out of customers who appreciate our baits. It's a big world out there and thankfully it has more than enough people who are willing to pay for quality and craftsmanship. I'm just glad and proud to be among you all.
