I have had cabin fever pretty bad this off season and have found my only fix to be watching musky porn on the Telly. These are the programs I have been watching/recording that are dedicated purely to fishing Muskies or often have segments on Muskies.

What shows are you watching?

I like the Linders Fishing Edge and the In-Fisherman shows but I don't think I've seen a new one in years - all repeats. I like Musky Hunter the best as its all muskies. Next Bite is ok but for me it's a big difference from their magazine. The magazine is the bext for actually explaining tactics and less about selling a particular guide or bait. The magazine seems more about showing fish get caught and less about showing new tactics. Still a good show.

Next Bite and Musky Hunter both are TIVO'd at my house, and I give them both C+/B- grade. I think I'd give the Next Bite a slight edge, though for better camera work.

I admit to watching just about every one of the shows listed above. I'm a TV junkie, and musky whore. I am really getting into the Keyes shows, haven't seen them before this year. Some great action, and big fish. I just about fell out of the chair this week when that guy was dancing to Bulls on Parade. That's some crazy stuff I would pull in the boat!
Musky Hunter has to be tops though, all musky, all the time, every show. I still like Bob M and Joe B, but I'm not interested in smallmouth fishing, and where the hot pike bite is at. Thank god for DVR.... But it sucks when you record what you think is a musky show, and it's someone getting bent out of shape on a 18 inch smallmouth. Just my 2 cents.
It is great that we have more variety to watching musky in the off season now, compared to 5-10 years ago. It really does make the winter go a little easier. Doesn't make it go any faster though, and I think it makes the "musky fever" worse. Better than watching DVD's over and over again. My wife yells at me when I start talking along with my musky videos word for word.

I usually don't watch them on TV, I just wait and buy there DVD's when they come out. For some reason Keyes Outdoors is taking forever to put out a second DVD!!!! I sure hope they don't decide not to.

Musky Skunk, The last I heard from Steve Genson was that they were almost done with the second DVD and they were hoping to have it done by the Chicago show but apparently that didnt' happen. It is suppose to be coming out soon so i'm thinking we'll be hearing from Steve when it is coming out.

Musky Dawg, Keyes outdoors is about 75 Percent muskies. They cover the entire PMTT trail and have a ton of show's of themselves. These guys by far have put some of the biggest musky's ever on film that I have ever seen for a weekly show. Just unbelievable boatside footage. For any of you who missed last's week show with them and Brad Hoppe and Todd Hess, you missed good one. Part 2 is this weekend dont miss it!!!

I watch them all and I believe Keyes is the best. Even the wife who can't stand watching fishing shows will sit through an episode of Keyes.

I talked with Steve from Keyes in Chicago and he said the 2nd DVD should be available in Milwaukee.

I DVR all of them!!! By sunday night my DVR is loaded with fishing shows i can watch throughout the week. Musky Hunter is easily the best. All musky all the time. I like The Next Bite alot of course but their camera work seems setup too much. Each catch is almost identical. They say "I got one" and the camera instantly goes to Pete who heads for the net...and then they always show the net being picked up...then they show whoever else is in the boat...all of these are "cut" as in not one continuous shot...then they show the fish being landed and released. I realize they can't roll a camera continously but Musky Hunter, Simply Fishing, and Joe Bucher all show continuous shots of the entire fight and catch and alot of times the strike also. But i love them all and it makes the winter go faster. And nobody is more entertaining to watch than Gillespie!!
