Can anyone help me with my custom mapping capabilities? I would like to edit a few lake maps on my unit (Ifinder H20C with WI lakemaster chip), but I haven't used the software that's available that I hear so much about. What are my options? Do I need to buy software, or is it downloadable online?

90% of my fishing is on 1 body of water. I would like to edit and customize the map to be more accurate and detailed. (for example, show reefs that aren't on the chip) Is this possible?

I don't think you can update / make chances to lakemaster chip.

You can save the way point and trails on the H2oC then you can export them to a blank MCC chip. If you want to do additional editing of these waypoint.. Check out http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Mapping/MapCreate-Mapping-Software...
MapCreate will alow you to import your waypionts / trails to your PC -edit them-. Then export them back to the MMC chip and then import them back to you H2oC. Also MapCreate has good road type maps.
Just a thought.
Good Luck,
Rick
