| Jlong, saw your post on winter bait purchases and got me thinking about some of the goals we stated during the hard water season. The season is far from over, but I was wondering how people are coming on meeting their goals for 2001.
Mine was to catch my first muskie. Unfortunately, not yet, but I did get close. Had my first strike (three actually), but never got hooks into the fish. Hasn't dimmed my enthusiasm, however. If anything I'm more hungry than ever to get some ski slime in the boat. The power of that fish was awesome![]
So how are you all doing?

| I had a long list and won't know if I acomplished most of it till season's end but I did acomplish 1 item on my list that was to get my clients hooked up with there first 50 inchers. I did just that to my last 2 groups one was a 14 year old kid and the other a 61 year old WI resident who never got one over 36 before. Now let's see if I can get a few more hooked up with their first 50. [:sun:] |

| To not get caught napping, and miss a fish I shouldn't because I wasn't zoned in- YES! very pleased about that.
To not lose hooked fish because of a tactical mistake- YES! pretty good there, I think...
Second half goal- hook figure 8 fish the right way. I have not been blessed with too much experience 8ing fish, so I hope I have learned from some mistakes. |
