Cant go wrong with bucktails! I have caught more on bucktails than any other type lure out there.

jerkbaits are always a good option.
bucktails are also a great lure.
i also love the dawgs they work great using a slow steady retrieve.

Actually, with the risk of sounding silly, the best lure to throw is any of the proven baits. Match the lure to the conditions, and there you are.

Exactly what do you mean by match the lure to the situation? Can you expand on that a little, like when you would use what...bucktails, jerkbaits, cranks, plastics. I know that there are "better" times of the year for each of these, but I also do not believe they are limited to said times. Like jerkbaits and bulldawgs in the fall.

spinnerbaits work under many conditions and most of the season. Even in the fall.
