Got a 2005 sylvan 1800 expedition. After first season of use, noticed paint peeling off of hull in different areas. Sent back to sylvan for repainting. After this season noticed more peeling in different areas than was repainted. Anyone else have this happen or know why this is happening? Sylvan is repainting it again, but starting to have some doubts on this boat.

I had that happen on a truck a few years ago and it was identified a s a primer problem. Apparently a batch of primer was left outside at some time and it froze. Either someone didn't know or didn't care that it wouldn't do it's job anymore.

I had the same thing happen to a previous boat (Lowe) that I owned. The manufacturer repainted the entire boat. I did not have another problem with the paint peeling after getting it back from being repainted. I would insist on having the entire boat repainted. Good luck!
