I make my spinnerbaits with rubber and now I am thinking of adding some flashabou. Will this work or will I just have a tangled mess? Any suggestions or comments greatly appreciated.

Can't see why you couldn't do it, in fact I think that it is a great and original idea. Great way of combining the flash of flashabou with the body of a rubber skirt. Are you thinking about tying it on top of the rubber, or mixed in with it? Haven't done rubber skirts yet so I'm not sure I know what I am talking about but I think that the original flashabou would be kind of fine and wimpy to work with in that application. The holo flashabou is a bit stiffer, and the saltwater cut is probably better yet. Should be able to bundle that like a rubber skirt and band it on a metal base no problem.

I think you oughta just try it, maybe not permanently attach the flashabou (try a zip tie that can be cut if you don't like it). Could be a cool combo. My only thought is the flashabou might stick to the rubber/silicon, but there's only one way to find out!!!

flashabou over rubber LOOKS great, really flares out nice. didn't get to field test as i got sidetracked with other projects but worth a try.

I put some flashabou under two silicon skirts on my Sillybells and it works just fine.

I used to tye bass spinnerbaits with a little flashabour over rubber. works great. I used the small stuff, but the big kind should work fine. I just tied it with heavy thread.
