I just got an Okuma Induron and I notice that the line guide is plastic with a metal ring insert. I have had this piece quit working on some of my other Shimano baitcast reels and when I mailed it in for service they replaced it with a metal version. I'm curious if others have had problems with this piece on the Induron.

This is an Okuma, not the other brand, and the answer from my experience is no, no problems.

I don't recall hearing any issues about the levelwind mechanism itself on our reels. You shouldn't have any problems but if you do... let us know and we will make it right.
