| Battery Service Corp in besenville illinois makes an awesome battery. Many marine dealers and some tackle shops carry their batteries with their own sticker on it. Dial 411 and ask them where the nearest dealer is to you. Mine is going on it's third season. |

| Hey Lucky,
I just picked up a new set of batteries from Wal-Mart that are pretty neat. They have a depleted uranium core re-activated with common household vinegar resulting in some sort of cold fusion I think. They never need charging, can deliver up to 24,000 cold cranking amps, and also provide, as a byproduct, a pale ale via a small tap on the side. My Minn-Kota Maxxumm will get my Lund up on plane now so I don't always have to turn over the big motor to get to the next spot. What will they think of next???
I think I only paid about $1200 for them. Not bad for a lifetime battery, but if you're not interested in those I would certainly take a look at Interstate products. You'll get many seasons of dependable use from them.
Good fishin,
Tyler [] |

| Take a look at the April-May issue of In-Fisherman. Agood artical on battery technology. Some pretty cool stuff out there now. |

| Don't know if you have made your purchase yet. But I have been running trolling motors since the very early '70s and the best battery I have ever found are the Trojan deep cycle. You will have to look for a dealer but it is worth the effort. AA Battery in the Twin Cities carries them. You won't be disappointed I promise you that.

| ghoti is right - the In-Fisherman article did have a good amount of useful information in it. I thought I had a pretty good handle on batteries but learned a lot from the article.
I want to see what others say about batteries as well as I am rigging my new boat soon.
