Where are you headed for the Holidays? I'll be on the ice with the Archos and Aqua-Vu as much as is possible trying to shoot some 'eyes, Muskies, and panfish. One party, ay my son Brian's, the 22nd.

You?

Have a bunch of friends rolling into Minocqua this tonight, some all the way from Montana, to hit the ice. I haven't even been out yet, been tied up with editing and hanging drywall, but this weekend will finally make it out. Looks like the weather/moon will cooperate, the fish should be biting.

Sunday afternoon will be in somewhere watching the packers/bears game, then odds and ends family stuff for Monday/Tuesday. When in Montana for Christmas I would always goose hunt on Christmas morning, the flocks of honkers were always thick on the Yellowstone and most hunters had called it a season. Then it was dinner from KFC and watch The Big Lebowski. I miss those Christmases, maybe next year.

Everyone be safe and have a great weekend.

Headed to IA on Saturday for the wife's family. Then multiple family gatherings Monday and Tuesday.

After Tuesday, most of the time will be spent in the shop getting ready for Chicago.

First birthday party for the munchkin next Saturday.

Doing the family thing this weekend, working on Monday, then family thing, then heading up nort of the "other" family thing.

I'm really looking forward to hanging out with the little ones though. The older of the two terrors should be fun this year at a year and a half. Hope to get her out on the ice up nort as well for some sledding and slime. Plus I can't wait to see how cranky she is after being sleep deprived for another week. Man, I never new how tough the holidays are on little kids. They can get crankier than their mother without sleep.

Supposed to go to Denver for a big family gathering at my sister's. You know, the typical family holiday - sisters big fights over who's kids are cuter and/or smarter, kids crying, 4 different strains of the flu, obligatory gifts, and tons of Christmas cheer. It will be good to see everyone again. But if this weather keeps up, I'll be staying right here; there's NO way I'm driving across southern Wyoming in a snowstorm.

Christmas Eve at my house with my sisters' families for my annual appetizer extravaganza. Chilled grilled shrimp, crab mango salad in crunchy won ton cups, Prosciutto and Parmesan crostini with truffle oil drizzle, multi-color roasted peppers and goat cheese in puff pastry, cheese and potato cigars of the Tunisian Jews, and baby ribeye sandwiches with caramelized onions and horseradish cream.

Christmas morning at home with the little woman and our precious daughter for the opening of Santa's deliveries. I'm sure I am on the naughty list so I don't expect much. My daughter on the other hand, has been pretty good. I expect she'll do all right.

Christmas Day at my Brother-in-laws. Turkey at 12:30.

Day after Christmas at my sister's for the family gift exchange. It's after Christmas this year as the married nieces are at their in-laws for the day itself, and don't get to town until late on the 25th. Turkey at 6:00.

I'm shooting for about an eight pound gain.

Kevin

Kicking back with the family over on the Waupaca Chain...fireplace, a few libations, talking smack (unfortunately not muskies...no one in my immediate family is into it). We'll have fun no doubt...

J SLoan...yep, we might even pop in The Big L as we watch it alot...what a hoot. Might even have a few "caucasians" as we watch it!!! LOL...

i'm on the road to northern MN in about 2 hours, hopefully the weather will cooperate. Christmas Eve night at the in-laws means a candlelight service at church followed by waffles and mimosas in front of a roaring fire at home. one of my very favorite nights of the entire year.
from there it's back to Godstown...i mean Green Bay to visit my side of the family. i'm planning to hit the big muskie meeting in town that weekend as well, so the timing's good.

everyone who's traveling, be safe, and hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Quiet year -- parents are down in FL, no wife, no kids, no girlfriend... Probably have dinner at my aunt's house. Kicked around the idea of heading up North, but with gas over $3 that extra $200+ just isn't in the cards at the moment.

I'll be chasing muskies tomorrow, then it's family, family, and more family, which I could really do without.

Here's a fun game for all you Big Lebowski fans... everytime The Dude drinks a white Russian YOU drink a white Russian. Full glass. No halfsies!!! Or grab a beer and everytime he curses, take a drink. Numero uno on my list of favorite movies... Obviously, you're not a golfer.

I will be relaxing with my family having a quiet X-mas for once. Off to Florida in early January, back for the Chitown show, possibly off to Ottawa shortly thereafter and then leaving to study abroad in the Turks and Caicos.

I just got one heck of a surprise. I was pretty bummed that I wouldn't be making it back for X-Mas because most of my money has been going towards this bum shoulder if mine and airfare is through the roof. My mom just called and said that both of my brothers gave up a little bit of their x-mas presents/money and that they would be kicking in the rest to fly me home. Now that is what the Christmas spirit is all about. Ill be heading back to CO early on X-Mas morning to spend the day with Katie and then gearing up for NYE. Thedude and his crew will be coming out this way to bring in the New Year so that should be an absolute blast. Happy Holidays to everyone and their families!!!!

Home from school today. But not for long, off to Milwaukee Sunday morning and then a direct flight to Florida with the family. Heading to West Palm Beach for a week. Not really a fan of having a snowless Christmas, but this was the only time I can have a little bit of warm weather so I guess I will take. Hoping to get out on Lake Okeechobee for some big bass, but we will see. I then am back here right before New's Years and back to school for a very very long winterim class. I will be taking a Geology class, learning about rocks. Wow am I going to go nuts with six hours of learning rocks for 12 days straight. But least I have the Chicago show to break up that madness.

I will probably do christmas right here, I don't get my kids untill the weekend after christmas. Drop my boat off tomorrow to have the motor worked on and between tonight and Christmas, I hope to get in about 12 hours worth of excersize and lifting in.

All my family is still around here. Lots of partys and get togethers starting Sunday afternoon until Tuesday night. Thankfull all of us are still close by and get to see each other and grow as one huge family.

Untill Sunday afternoon I will still be catching walleyes on the ice with friends and family. Firts and early Ice Rocks only one sub legal so far, lots of good eaters in the 15 to 20-inch range. TIP-UP!!!!!

Merry Christmas to everyone here at MuskieFirst. Have a safe and happy Holiday season.
