| Hiya,
Just had a quick question for those using cortland braided lines...
Is there any differences between the cortland spectron and the cortland master braid lines in the same strength line?
Biggest thing I am concerned with is color retention. From what it sounds like, all of their lines are infused with color...not just color-covered, but is that the case for all of their lines?
Thanks

I cant speak for spectron but I use master braid and love the stuff. It does fade but not like another line that is widely used.

| My understanding is that the Master Braid is more rigid/less flexible than Spectron. Could increase casting distance if the line doesn't sag or catch in the wind on its way out (?). If I can get my paws on some I might try the MB next season. |

Been using power pro, and although I don't have any major complaints about it, I am looking to try different things. I am hoping I can get away from colored hands, though...

| I've used both Spectron and Master Braid. I like them both. From the standpoint of color fade I think you'll find the Masterbraid version is less prone to fading. Unless of course you use the black spot which isn't an issue at all. Both lines cast well but I've been finding myself happier with the Masterbraid overall. |
