Subject: On board charger

I am thinking about installing an on -board charger and was wondering if you guys can give me any advice?

Are they hard to install?
What kind should I buy?
Are they worth the money or should I stick with my trickle charger?
How well do they work?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. God bless.

An on-board charger is very easy to install. The make/model you get should coincide with your needs (how many batteries, recovery time for charging). As far as I can tell, mine has been working great for the past 2 years. I bought one from Bass Pro (XPS model), and it works wonderfully. I will never go back to the old charger.

I put a two bank Minn Kota in my 1760 yesterday, ALL BY MYSELF!! That is a statement in itself, as I am useless with tools. I put a three bank in my 1990, and absolutely would never go back to a trickle charger.[8)]

I put in a Guest charger. It was easy to install and works great. I`m about as mechanically inclined as a monkey and Polish on top of it....if I can do it, you can. Beav
