| Tom, I have Mason Tiger Braid on my trolling rigs and it works fine when pulling 8 inch Believers and 6 inch Wileys up on St Clair. The releases I used were actually the OR-8 DOWNRIGGER LINE RELEASE made by Offshore that can handle the speed trolling and high pulling resistance of the bigger lures (actually made for saltwater fishing). We did not have a problem with them releasing on their own. The are a bit pricey but they work. |

| Putting OR8 releases on off shores work great, then you can run Tuf-line. |

| I use flourocarbon on my planer board rods, it works great. I use church tackle "mr. walleye" boards. |

| I use the Church, Gary Roach boards they work better for me than the Off Shores. I use 50 lb. Stren Magna Thin, it stays well in the clips and you don't have to double wrap them which can be a drag when fighting a fish. I also like a little stretch in my line while trolling.
Good luck, Murph |

| I used to use monofilament (Trilene XT) and it held securely in the inline boards (Offshore) that I used. I switched to the braids and started having a problem with them coming off. I tried "double wrapping" them and it worked ok, but it was hard to get them off at times. Then I heard about the OR-18 replacement clips (about $11 each) and tried them. No problems anymore! |

| I use the Off Shore board's with the oversized clip's and run 25 pound mono. I have had the boards fall off or side down the super braids. |

| Murph, Icould not have said it better myself. Much easier to get on and off than the offshore not to mention more of the board is in the water when pulling a depth raider or ernie than the offshore too. |
