Posts: 929 Location: Rhinelander. | If you enjoy fishing with suckers let me tell you the bite is on in northern wisconsin. I wish I had a washtub full of them. This 4 bucks a pop for them is killing me. I don't think I've seen the bite this strong in some years now. Its a real riot out there and too boot I hardly ever see another boat on the water. Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Good to hear Don. I'm heading up tomorrow with a tub full of suckers. We've been getting a few on suckers down here already, although the waters just finally getting down into prime sucker range.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I think they really start shining after turnover. When the weeds start dying and I'm fishing deeper structure and breaks. Before turnover, I tend to fish alot more shallow, so suckers can be tough to run in the junk. However, I do run them in the weeds when I can, as they do get eaten. But for really running suckers, I like after turnover.

| i think in mn you can only get suckers up to12". at least in licensed shops. you can buy bigger ones from private sellers, but I guess the law for shops is 12". I just heard about that the other day. clint | |||
