Do any of you have any experience with the smaller St. Croix reel? I believe it is the #250 size. Thanks.

I have a couple of the millionaire cvx-253a's (very similar reel) They are tough. They also have magnetic braking which is pretty nice. I've had them for 5 years now and no problems.

I have been running 2 250's with 80 lb superbraid for 2.5 years now ... Just last month I had one go back into St. Croix due to a instant antireverse failure ... the 2nd one just starting doing the same thing.

Last one went back to St. Croix ... came back less than 1 week later ... fixed no charge ... only shipping

Good customer service St. Croix

You can also sub out the handle for a Abu Power Handle ... makes a nice little reel
