Subject: Hayward area lakes temps and waterlevels

Troops,

Any info on the mid-size Hayward area lakes - Teal, Lost Land, Spider, TigerCat, Moose and the Big Chip water levels and temps ? Will turn-over occur by this weekend or will it be delayed by the this past weekend temps and rain?

I'm fishin' with a group this weekend and wany to stay off any "turning" water.
And minimize the exposure to shallow channels etc.

Thanks
Mike G

I just talked to a friend who lives on Lost Land. He said they recently recieved quite a bit of rain and the lake level is back up to normal. The lake hasn't turned yet and the water temps are still in the 60's. Heading up there this weekend and fishing Hayward Lakes Tournament next weekend. Unfortunately, turnover usually occurs around tournament time-which can make for some tough conditions. Good Luck!

I have it from a good source that LCO has turned already, says water temps are withing 2 degrees from top to bottom, I am surprised that LL would not have turned already. I will know about the EC chain after this weekend.

On Saturday checked one of the EC lakes, 61-62 degrees from top to bottom. I am assuming that means that it has turned over, but isn't this kind of warm water temps for this to happen at?
