Thanks,

If you're bringing a boat and your buddy is suggesting staying at Boulder Lodge be careful in the channel/creek going out to the lake. Haven't stayed on Ghost in 5 years or so but stayed on this lake every year for 10+ years. That channel/creek was always very rocky and lakes in the area were two feet down as of early August. Always enjoyed fishing the lake because there is only one on the lake and only a couple of cabins. Plenty of small muskies, LM, and a bonus walleye every once in a while. Lake is very shallow and weedy.

Good luck.

Beautiful lake. Wilderness setting. Have been on it at night with wolves howling just on shore. It is a numbers lake. 38-40 inches is big for that lake.

In a good year its 12 feet deep at its deepest point. With the lack of rain up there you may want to speak with a local to see how far down this lake is? Might be an issue.

Bring weedless lures!

There is also a launch you can use on the west side of lake if you can't get through the channel from Boulder Lodge. Yup, I also found the rocks and had to go to town for some shear pins one year too!

Great lake. I used to spend alot of time up there. No matter how the water level is, I never needed a reason to start up the outboard. Fire tiger anything, and topwaters shine on that lake.

Great action on this lake -- big numbers, some decent sized fish, Ghost Lake Lodge is the place to stay -- it's new owner (Nate Knoche) is a great guy and will handle all your needs. Also serves a serious drink at the lodge!!!
