does anyone know if this model is availible in a left hand model, this is the one with the black housing and a 5:3:1 gear ratio. i know the 7001i red does, just wondering about the saltwater model

Yes, Abu Garcia makes a 7001i with a gear ratio of 4.1:1. Just check the web site www.abu-gartcia.com and you will find it.

BTW - imo the 7001i is a true right handed reel.

yes, they make the 7001i Red in left-hand (4.1:1), but no they do not make a 7000iHSN (black, 5.3:1) in a left-hand crank version.
