Posts: 135 | Do a forum search for "Induron" or Okuma and you'll find lots of good information and opinions here. Very helpful to me on my recent purchase. I own one, brand new, but haven't gotten to use it yet, next week though! Got a power handle from Mark at Okuma and it feels great. Whit

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | I've been using one most of the summer and have been very happy with it. It's been a very smooth reel, the drag is strong and smooth and it is quite comfortable for me to palm. I have the 400 size with the power handle. I have used it for virtually every type of lure that I throw; it would be fine for bucktails if you were to use it exclusively for that, IMO. Sorno

Posts: 7049 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I've been throwing an Induron 400 w/ Power Handle pretty much all year, and I can say for the price point, you're probably not going to find a better reel for MOST applications. Smooth on the retrive and gives you maxium casting distance while throwing lures in the "medium" to large size range. Powerful enough to cast and retrive Double 10s, but quick enogh to fast jerk a bulldawg. The reel has been relialbe for the time I have used it. Price point is key. At $120, you're NOT going to find a better reel. Try one, you won't be disappointed.

Posts: 7049 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Guest - 9/24/2007 4:28 PM would it be a good reel for cranks and topwater? Definitely! With the power handle you'll be able to pull nearly all cast-able cranks and the reel is fast enough to pull topwaters at pretty much any speed you're looking to run them.

Posts: 401 | That power handle is what makes that reel even better. I fished hard this weekend during the tournament and I had no hand fatigue throwing a double blade most of the time. Very nice reel. Keith

I have to also comment here: I met Mark (California_muskies) yesterday and he is a very nice guy.. He visits this board often and definatly seems to be the type of guy who will take care of you if you have any problems with the Okuma products... I have not given Okuma products a chance in the past, but after speaking briefly with Mark, I will be purchasing Okuma products in the near future.. I have a feeling that the customer service will be top notch, and even though the reels may not be the absolute best in the market, I do not believe you can beat the value of the product.. Good price for a good reel and basically risk free when you consider the customer service, don't think you can beat it... Thanks once again Mark, I look forward to purchasing lots of products from you!!!

I've beat mine up pretty good this season, and it's still running great. A couple of drops of oil last week, and she'll be running good the rest of the year. I've thrown weagles, XX's, cranks, topraiders, you name it, and it's handled them all well. I echo everything said above.

Posts: 906 Location: Warroad, Mn | Been using them for two years and I've been impressed! Just to try it I've been pulling a Double Cowgirl for a couple of weeks or so with a 400 with a power handle and it seems to work well. Somewhere around 150 fish with an Okuma 400 without problems. God only knows how many casts. Doug Johnson
