Mistake, I believe they call it a tiger fish, and not from South America but African continent.

The difference is in the design of the teeth-> for sure you wouldn't want that beasty clamping down on your hand. Obviously given the top photo and where he has his fingers between the teeth, they look more conical like those of a walleye. Pike/Muskie canine teeth are serrated (like a great white shark's), this makes them very nasty cutting instruments. Something most ESOX fisherman learn very early on in their encounters with feisty ole' ESOX....
