| About two weeks ago I got a Formula-X version shallow Suzy Sucker. After reading the posts here, should I be worried about the X version. I saw several old posts that say to store your baits in Zip-Loc bags. Has this worked? Are there any other precautions to take? Also, when I bought the bait I didn't realize that it was the shallow version. Is there any way to give it some extra weight?
I have to say that I am very impressed with how the bait looks. I can't wait to throw it. It reminds me of the old Marathon Company Sucker they used to make, only this looks better. I bought the Lumina Black Sucker pattern. Just wondering if anyone has tried the gold sucker? Also, is this bait made to fish with a Seven-Strand type leader or a stiff wire leader?
Thanks in advance for any feedback,

adding weight to soft plastic is easy:
Grab a bell sinker, coat it with your favorite powder paint (I prefer Granite Dust, in red), and run it onto the split ring that holds the front hook to the bait.
as far as storage, keep a dedicated Plano for your "X" baits. |
