Location: Oregon | I just finished this order for a customer and figured you guys would understand the amount of work that went into this. A 100 lures doesn't sound like that much until you start building them in your free time after work. Whew! Wanted to include a couple close shots too but it's pouring rain outside!!

Location: Minnesota | That is some nice work. That black one with orange tail really stands out! You should try putting one or two on the eBay. I have seen this quality go for over $50. That trout looks great too! Hell they all look good.

| Jed those look great, but looks are the least of these baits, after 2-3 fish you'll know why Jed makes the BEST glide baits in North America the catch fish and they all work the same, Thanks for the pics Jed |

| Jed, what can anyone say but....awesome.
I know how much time and effort went into making that many great looking lures, when I was healthy I might have made that many in a year, and probably would have put 20 or so 2'nds in my box.
You should have taken a "before" picture.
100 chunks of wood, all of the hardware, bottles of paint and large chunks of lead and gallons of clear-coat. Then in the corner you could put a time-clock that you would punch and keep track of every minute that you put into the project. I can't imagine how many hours.
Beautiful work, and I for one, can imagine the sigh of relief that you let out when the last one was checked for bubbles as it rotated.
Heck, I was going to make a few 10"ers for the PI Outing, and I'm pooped just from drilling the holes and adding the weights. I must be older than I thought.
Great patterns by the way.

Very nice indeed. I really like those patterns. I am humbled by all the folks on here that live part time in their garage and basements doing what they enjoy. I hope to get the level of painting you all show off here someday.
I think I know where these are going too. I sold over 200 to a customer and it took me a long time to get them all done. The best part of that effort was the picture I got a couple weeks ago of a 48 1/2 incher he caught. Wish I could 10 percent of the places my baits have gone this year.

3. Crazy? Yes. Definately.--HIM not Me. (ok ok it is debatable)
4. Black paint does not come out of the kitchen sink easily!
5. The worst part--I cannot complain too much! Even I can appreciate the action and paintjobs. Heck. I saw the FIRST ones! They were....interesting--yes, interesting....

At least I still have my 11-year old daughter who plays hockey and loves to fish and wants to learn how to paint lures some day soon. Judging from her school art, she'll be dam good at it.
Weighting is the key. It aint the meat, it's the motion.
I drive the fish in my daughter's aquarium crazy when I'm working on lures. I also love the looks that I get when I find a patch of open water on Lake Michigan in winter and throw lures and have a bucket with a cordless drill in it with about 20 blanks, and I work on the fine-tuning. Anybody can weight them, but not everybody can weight them correctly. I've seen Jeds lures dance. He understands.
I love when guys ask about getting started. You can explain almost every step, but expalining how to weight lures to get them to do different things is something not easily learned or taught.
They sure are pretty though. And Mrs. Jed, you are a good woman for putting up with his passion and standing behind him.
