OK so im planning a trip to a system I have never fished before, I contacted the local fisheries biologist for any info and he sent me a catch summary from 03' . Besides getting an idea of what there eating, how can I use this info to my advantage? Im a little confused as there is numbers for fyke netting and boom shocking which are different, could someone elaborate at what this means, the type of water this is, is a small flowage that is shared with another state so I imagine the fish do roam, is there any accurate way of finding a fish per acre calculation? Thanks for any insight.

Fyke nets and boom shocking are indicators of the population in any body of water that are coupleled with stoxcking data, Creel census, and other information to get a grip on the system's population. Shocking is a notoriously tough deal with muskies, because they can dive out of the field before they succumb and are known to zing out of the way the minute they feel a tickle of juice.
