Hey Firsters,

Who are the best guides on Vermillion & Mille Lacs? I'm thinking about heading for a few days, and wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were.

Mille Lacs...Ronnestrand, Jonesi, Hammernick, Thomas, Tauchen...

unless you get lucky and they have a cancellation I doubt they'll be able to fit you in. I think pretty much all those guys have been booked solid for awhile

OK...I figured as much...I am just thinking about running up there, and hoping one or two do have a cancellation. I guess this upcoming year I'll book far in advance!

Is there a map I can get for the GPS of these lakes?

Navionics North premium chip works great on Mille Lacs. I assume it would get the job done on Vermillion as well.

Cover the Mill Lacs very well, if going to Vermillion give Josh Borovsky a call(promuskieguide.com). He has been fishing it before it became phenom it is today.

Kyle brickson- Used him on vermillion this year. Fished the lake for over 25 years. Instructor in canada with bob mehsikomer every year. Nice guy and affordable. Good luck. minnesotamuskieadventures.com Check out the pig on his photos page. The first one is a tiger his son caught (first muskie). The second is the one I caught. 54"

I went out with Josh earlier this year on Vermillion and would highly reccomend him. He has a lot of experience on the lake and is a wonderful teacher on the water. He is very intune to what is going on with the lake.
He is a true professional.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

I just had someone back out of my three "pink days" for next week (July 31st, August 1st and 2nd) So I have those open.

I'll tell you what, if anyone books me for all three of these days on short notice at full price, I will guarantee a 50" in the boat in those three days. (If we don't get a 50" between us, I will give you all three days at half price.)

Sound like a deal anyone?

If so, call my cell ASAP at 612-508-2759.

Man once you hit send it's out there. I couldn't figure out how to edit my post above.

Here is what I was trying to say . . .

"Guarantee" is a bit strong although that is essentially what I am offering. This not something I usually do, but given the situation I'll take my chances.

Josh, I think you can only 'edit' a post if you've registered before posting. That's a super offer, hope you get a bite on it. If it wasn't two full days of driving for me to get up there, I'd be packin to go! The V is an awesome place, I can't wait to get back up there some day. m
