| I was wondering if I was to switch my trolling motor over to a 24 volt could I still hook my bow depth finder to that or would it be to much voltage because right now I have it wire to the trolling motor battery which is 12 volts would the inline fuse help it or would it blow |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | You would be better off running your locater off your starting battery versuses your trolling motor battery. You want your trolling motor exclusively hooked to your trolling motor batteries. But in otherwords, you can keep your depth finder on the one battery and that will be just fine when you switch to a 24 volt. I just would not recommend running your locater off your trolling motor batteries. |

Location: Grand Rapids MN | I agree with Merckid and took his advice earlier this year with running all my other accessories off my cranking battery. Never had a problem yet. But if you wanted to leave that wired up front you can do so. Just wire it to one of the batteries like you would normally do. A fuse is to protect a circuit from to high of amps, not volts. Don't confuse the two or you will end up with problems. When wiring just think about the complete circuit path at hand and not all the other wires running to and from the battery, that usually confusses people. |

For your TM I would look at the highest amp rating (40-50amps) Most of your fuses will fall within the 30-50 amps range for TM's anyways. It can't hurt to go a larger size (FYI, Ex: 4AWG is Larger than 14AWG, just in case you weren't sure) but it will start to hurt in the pocket book the larger you go.
