Has anyone fished with the magnum zara spook or the super magnum zara spook?

I just saw some in a store yesterday and was wondering what others thought of them.

I bought one and used it and I'm not too happy with it. Just doesn't want to walk the dog correctly.

the bait moves forward way more than side to side. It has a nice rattle and sounds good but it is very difficult to get to walk the dog

Maybe you can try putting different hooks on it and get it to perform better. I hate the nickel plated hooks that came with mine and replaced them prior to ever using it. Mine doesn't work that bad, but still like my Jackpots better. Get better swing & plop off them. And can also work the Jackpots faster for a search bait.

I'm not surprised. The lures appeared to be too tappered in the tail, as well as, the nose. Somehow, they didn't appear to be merely a larger size of the zara spook. That's the main reason I didn't buy one. Perhaps, that is the reason they don't walk the dog as good.

I wonder if a person added a little weight toward the tail hook, might improve the side to side movement.

Thanks for the responses.
