I have a 10 year old trolling motor. It seems like it has very little power no matter how new and charged the battery is. Do they loose power with age? (It is a 48 lb thrust on a 17' fishing boat with 40horse tiler. )

Sure, they will lose power/torgue with age. Brushes wear, commutators wear and fill with dirt and carbon. They just get old and inefficient. Not sure if it is worth it to get them rebuilt, but may be. I'd call Ed Schilling in West Allis, WI and ask him. He's the best Minn Kota servce centers. Sorry, I don't have his phone number.
