Posts: 21 | Found this picture on another site. I don't kow how to post just the picture so I am posting the link. Scroll down for the duck that came out of the little pikes stomach. Kind of crazy to think the little guy successfully took daffy junior.............. http://refugeforums.com/refuge/showthread.php?t=540639

Posts: 468 Location: Not where I wanna be! | when i was a kid, i was in Canada with my dad. While we were on a walk in access only lake, we were trolling original Rapalas for pike or walleye. we passed a smal cove that had a family of ducks swimming through it. (not sure what kind of duck) Mama was leading a string of about 6-7 ducklings.... they were bigger than the one in that picture i just looked at. in fact they were at that cute stage, you know, puffy and yellow....about the size of a softball. all of the sudden, the last one was sucked under and disappeared........ i watched it happen.....ZOIKS!!! it takes a semi-large to huge fish to eat that duckling... needless to say, we stopped the boat and casted for that fish for over an hour....but he didnt need to eat anything.... later that same trip, we were in a bait shop and i noticed lures that looked like ducklings with a huge treble hook.... i couldnt find any pix, so if anybody knows of a pic, throw it on here.....

Posts: 327 | I've seen that happen 2 times before , both in the same spot on the same lake !! What's the odds of that ?? Have caught a few nice pike there before , but the last couple times we tried ... nothing . A guy came down and talked to us and says he believes the carp took over the lake , not sure what to make of that , but like I said , nothing ate . Kind of a funny story about the second one I saw get eaten .. this lady and her 2 kids came and said they found this duckiling in their yard and asked if we thought it would live if she let it go . Of course we knew the answer but with the kids there we weren't going to say anything . About an hour goes by listening to this thing beeping and squeeking for mamma and and listening to my brother complain and say " I wish that thing would just shut the h#@& up !" SPLASH !!! No more noisy duckling !!
