Location: Roseau | I ran the boat on Saturday, when i was running about 4500 RPM's it would surge to about 4700 RPM's real quick and then back to 4500. It would happen about every 2 minutes while running. It would do it 5 to 10 times and then quit for a while and then do it agian. It seemed to only surge like that at around 4500 RPM's. Other than that it was running great even during the surges. It is a 90 hp 1999 2 stroke Johnson. Any thoughts on the problem would be great.

Location: Roseau | What part is the hub? Is there a way to determine if it is the hub or the prop and what can I do to fix it? Thanks |

| Do you actually "hear" the engine turning more rpm's? If not, it could be a problem with the tach. On my last boat trip out my tach started acting up. The tach actually started to red line but the engine was running normally. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Most 'Rude props are built with a rubber center hub. If you hit something, or just spin a hub, the motor will rev like mad and the boat won't go anywhere. When the hub starts to go, sometimes it will slip a bit at top end or mid-range. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If the hub is spun, it can be replaced by any reputable prop shop. |
