Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | ESfishOX was nice enough to take me out trolling on Pewaukee this morning for about six hours, so I guess I didn't irritate him too badly up in Rhinelander. It was HOT, WINDY, and pretty crowded. The fish spurned us. Always fun to be on the water, though. Did I mention it was hot? Kevin We could use some rain.

Posts: 401 | Tale of two different lakes. Leech: Really does not seem to be much cooking up there yet unless you are bobber fishing walleyes. We watched the fireworks while our bobbers were going down. Kids had a good time and so did their parents. I had the chance to fish with Hulbert and Tomcat in northern MN for an evening. What a BLAST. I have built for Mike for several years but we have never hooked up on the lake. Mike is a very good fisherman that works his tail off. We saw some real pigs and I missed three different fish on the Krook. All three fish ate....I just pulled the lure away from them. Note to self...treat the Krook as a topwater not a bucktail. Paying for a day with Mike is money well spent. Hope everybody else is having fun. Keith

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Had a Matchfishing day on Saturday. My regular partner had to attend a wedding in Montana so I enlisted the capable talents of Pointerpride102. We had a pretty solid plan in place; or so we thought. Fish the 'numbers' lake to get on the board then head to Pineview for a kicker fish or two. Part one of the plan proceeded as scripted...arrive at Newton at 5:50, fishing by 6:00, first fish at 6:05. In the net, unhooked and measured - 27.5". Well, alomst a perfect plan... 15 minutes later, PP102 hooks up and we land our second - 27.5". Rats, I hope this wasn't a bad call Ok, we're safely on the board and off to Pineview. Here's where the plan unravels; we commence to land another 10 (yes TEN) tigers, with the biggest one being 29.5". Cranks of most any type were hot. It was fun, but at the same time kind of frustrating cuz we couldn't hook up with anything of size. But then, 14 fish days of any kind are OK in my book. The pics are pretty unremarkable (and basically only taken due to the Match), but can be viewed in the Matchfishing forum. Sorno Edited by sorenson 7/8/2007 10:29 PM

Posts: 7119 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | 4:15AM start on the BIG POND on Saturday with Tuffy1, Gilligan (Magrueter) in the Rabid Panda out of Racine Harbor. We set lines at 4:30, fish started going before we had all 7 in the water, basically took an hour to get'em all in while fighting fish. FINALLY had a break-out kinda day, going 12 for 16, keeping 11. I have far too much fish in the fridge, anyone hungy? Sunday me and Nikki took my brother and my nephew out for a spin on Silver Lake in S.WI. Me and the wife were able to cast muskies for about 20 minutes before we went to pick them up. Had a bobber out for a bit, got a little rockbass which made the little man yell and scream. Drove really fast around the lake a dozen times or so and called it a day. No muskeis, but plenty of fun. Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | I also fished salmon this weekend, did well with 10 fish in the boat. The crew did well muskie fishing leading into the weekend, with a 47, 48.5, and 51. Gillich caught the 51 and I'm trying to get a picture of it to post. Lijewski got the other 2. The 51 and 48 were tanks. Both caught in Vilas County on dawgs out deep. Feeding windows can be any time, as we've experienced some great action in the mid-day heat. Lots of fish lost as well. Posts: 427 Location: Wausau | Fished Vilas Co over the long weekend and did fairly well. July 3rd fish was caught on deep clear water on DDD at sunrise. July 4th fish was caught on deep clear lake on Weagle at sunset. July 6th fish was caught on deep clear lake on Bulldawg at sunset. July 7th fish was caught on deep clear lake on Bulldawg at sunrise. I think there is a pattern in there somewhere. Posts: 382 | Being laid up with a broken ankle, and not being able to drive has limited my fishing time to say the least. A friend did take me out for some multi species trolling on mille lacs and we had a blast with the pike and walleyes. I did also set a new personal best. Finished the first 11 beers out of my 18 pack without taking a whizz! Edited by B420 7/9/2007 1:36 PM

| Vilas wasn't on fire for anyone...at least that I know of !!! raised some, missed some, and lost some....one very large marge to make me realize throwin those pounders is worth the pain.... My luck will turn this week in the land of 50 inchers...I hope... | |||

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | we could have fished 2 hours a day ... an hour at sunrise and an hour at sunset .... and that's pretty much what we did ... got 2 fish worth scoring, missed another good one and caught a dink .... i, of course got to play with the net and take pictures but it was great anyway. the windows were narrow for us, but the right fish was where she was supposed to be and that makes it all worthwhile .... subtracting water and situations to be in the right place at the right time makes this game what it is and worth playing

Location: Contrarian Island | I guess that mid to upper 40 inch fish I had eat at 7:30pm was just stupid then Sled! plus the other Pounder fish that ate on the 8 at 9am too... just razzin ya..yes windows were short but they have to eat sometime...Pounders get em up! Gillich throwing 2 pounders..that is just wrong! Edited by MSKY HNR 7/9/2007 8:09 PM

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | there's something that i haven't figured out and work hard trying to learn and it's what makes the badfish boys "bad" .... the location thing and being able to put that bait in the zone and keep it there to a level i don't yet understand completely .... yet, and i think it's the difference between being in a window and making your own window ... i guess it will never surprise me when gillich and lijewski or others with those level of skill put fish in the boat ... they play on an altogether different field in this game and it shows. hey, just read the reports from hulbert .... wow!!!!!

Posts: 379 Location: Thief River Falls MN | Spent last week on Eagle at AML and did pretty well. Had a couple chances at bigger fish on 8's but couldn't get 'em to go. 38, 42, 44, 45, & 47" fish in the boat. Fished with Mikie for a day, and man can that guy put you on fish! Had a great time at AML- top notch all around. later, toddb Edited by toddb 7/9/2007 10:00 PM Attachments ---------------- mike009.jpg (38KB - 123 downloads) mike013.jpg (55KB - 134 downloads) mike011.jpg (50KB - 144 downloads) fish.jpg (53KB - 144 downloads) fish.jpg (68KB - 146 downloads)
