Location: Athens, Ohio | Whew, our 10 day trip to Wisconsin has come to a close. Mauser and I spent two days fishing Eagle River, and E.R. Guide Association member Art Anderson put Mauser on his first muskie in 11 months. You coud hear the cherry pop all over again, it was great. I managed a decent pike and we ran into Norm on the chain.
We spent the week between Land of Lakes and Presque Isle. Two big coldfronts damaged the fishing, with days o 20-35 mph winds and heavy outbursts of rain. One such storm knoked out trees and powerlines around our cabin, but we were safely in a bar with dinner. Right after, I popped a small muskie. Mauser got several over the week and became known as the pike specialist with his Mepps bucktail doing much damage to small northerns. It was a blast.
More later but here's some pics. m
