| Any news of summer muskies? We have had success trolling the islands, headed up in a few weeks just wondering if anyone has had success this summer.

| Heading up north in two days...
Can anyone confirm the rumor that they are sitting in the weeds in about 6 feet of water. My buddy was talking about it but no sure how credible the source is... |

| Just got back to the house in IL, good to be home but I wish I was slamming lures right now. Had a tough week, we fished all different times of the day. My buddy Jason boated a 26 inch 7 1/2 pound walleye, fishing for muskie, he was using a swimming Joe in about 10 feet of water right off the Islands in Pike. I didn't get a fish until yesterday fishing in a nice patch of weeds I pulled in a 40 plus inch muskie. Got him up to the boat, un-hooked him and made a rookie mistake by trying to get the lure off the net first instead of pulling him out. The muskie swam through a hole in the middle of the net that none of us had noticed before we fished. Does that still count as a catch? If so it was my biggest muskie to date and in the past three years I have caught a muskie. Good luck to whoever gets a chance to get out this chain. I have to start working again as my summer vacation ends with school starting up again |
