Location: Burlington, WI | i've got two of the heavy 8 footers and I use them for everything. Mag Bulldawgs, spinnerbaits, to gliders. Which, for me being 6'2" and my boat sitting a little higher is not a problem. I would be lost without them. A must have for throwing big baits like bulldawgs and suzy suckers. |

Location: Appleton, WI | I would second this rod for the big baits, it is a glass blend and it works well for trolling and suckers in the cold. It is a gotta have! |

Location: Sun Prairie, WI | I believe it's a glass blend. The 8' Premier graphite only comes in medium heavy power. The heavy power 8' is the glass rod.

| You have to go with the avid for a 8' H graphite. The premier 8' graphite is a MH (also a great rod) and the premier H 8' is a trolling glass rod and is a bit heavy for casting imo.
I have the premier 8MH and the avid 8H. I LOVE them. The premier MH is an awesome bucktail rod and I used the avid 8H for heavy bucktails and bulldawgs all day with ease. I know the avid is pricey though.. Got mine at www.championoutfitters.com with no tax/shipping |
