Tough bite on both lakes only 11 on one day 9 on the other I think. No super defined pattern, fish seemed to come from varying places. Some shallow weed fish and some deep mud fish. Overall, it was far from what most were expecting from these two great waters. Basically, we stunk.

My friend and I have caught a legal musky 5 out of 5 times on the chain prior to Friday (which we didn't see one all day) and Saturday (where I lost one that would've placed us and he had one follow). Usually we see more fish than that. The little muskies and pike were definitely out to eat though...probably had about 10 of those. 8inch was correct; 11 on Pike/Round with only one team doubling up. 2nd place was a 44.5" I believe and 3rd was a 42". -Jake

Posts: 331 Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin | We Stunk also! Watched the Creepies win pike/Round right in front of us. We raised about 5 nice fish with no eaters on Pike/Round. Day 2 also was frustrating! Raised 6 legals between 7 and 7:30 but no eaters. Then proceeded to pound the water all day baking in the hot sun while watching purposing muskies swimming all around us. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks for the free beer! Ed Edited by MuskyTime 6/11/2007 11:49 AM

Of all the tournament weekends we thought we were going to light things up, this was it. Lost fish always sucks and it especially did this weekend. It is still musky fishing, it is still northern Wisconsin, so I still love it. Now I get to go to Mohawskin where I grew up musky fishing and stink it up like always. I'll go there the week after and catch 15, it's just the way it goes...Maybe better luck in my new boat! Praying....praying.
