Posts: 238 | What do you think about this bad boy? It's pictured with a magnum bulldawg for size comparison. I call it my D2 Squirrelly Cowbell. http://picasaweb.google.com/d2bucktail/Lures/photo#5072438750640833... Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 238 | Guest, Actually it's not a modified cowgirl, it's a sort-of copy of the cowgirl that I made. Used the ultra-limp flash-a-bou you can get about anywhere. (imho, this stuff tangles too easily - the stuff in the "real" Musky Mayhem Double Cowgirl is stiffer and seems less prone to tangling.) The following is not an ad, just to let you know where my components come from. Most of my components including hooks, wire, clevises, split rings, leader sleeves, brass beads, lure bodies, flash-a-bou, head cement, thread, etc comes from Reinke Brothers in Milwaukee (414-383-5591). Reinke's now has a few #10 magnum blades but mine came from Dick Moore (http://www.mooreslures.com/). Have also gotten #10 heavy (.041) blades from Stamina (http://www.upnorthoutdoors.com/stamina/). The big rubber tail is a Berkley PowerBait 8" Power Grub I got at Fleet Farm (http://www.fleetfarm.com/). My 6mm Faceted Plastic Beads came from Joanne Fabrics (http://www.joann.com/joann/index.jsp). I'm very small time, making only 1-2 dozen lures a year for friends and family, so I buy my components in small quantities. I have about $12-13 in parts in the D2 Squirrelly Cowbell you saw in the pic - and lots of time. ![]() If anyone wants to share other lure component suppliers, I'm interested. D2Bucktail. Asbolutely lethal looking man. I have the same Berkley Saltwater grub on the back of a white/pink I made up, it really rumbles. Those things stink, lots of scent too. Nice looking baits from all you guys.

Posts: 313 Location: On your favorite spot | I've been messing around with a similar concoction - sure is a good looking bait, may not get much water time before fall but you never know....
