I was curious if anyone out there has fished the northwestern (lower peninsula) michigan, the bellaire chain of lakes to be most direct, for muskies? I spend alot of time on Torch lake on the weekends and fish the connected lakes mostly for Northerns and i do pretty darn good. I hear alot about muskies in these lakes (clam, intermediate, st.clair, six mile, ellsworth, basically the whole upper chain) and would like to spend some time trying to connect with a nice muskie. I am pretty new to the whole musky thing, we did catch a beautiful 48incher on sanford lake last summer though that we released, but we caught this fish by accident fishing for northerns. Like I said, i have heard some things about these lakes, mostly from older gentlemen that own cottages up there, but there stories are always about "back in the day". Any information would be appreciated greatly...thanks
